The second Makers and Growers Market is happening this weekend, Sunday, June 23 in downtown Maple Lake.
The market, which features six events one Sunday a month through October, kicked off the season in May with 63-plus vendors featuring everything from specialty bread makers to paper quilling. From 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. these artisans who are masters at their crafts will take over Birch Avenue once again this Sunday for an eclectic bazaar of fine arts, homegrown produce and more.
Stop for a morning of shopping or wile the day away listening to live music and enjoying the variety of food trucks available.
The event is free to vendors and shoppers, but freewill donations are accepted at the registration desk and will go toward keeping the market alive and successful.
The whole concept of the Makers and Growers Market is to draw attention to Maple Lake’s small yet unique and varied business community and attract more creative businesses to the area.
Makers and Growers is a subcommittee of the Small Business Group newly formed under the Maple Lake Chamber of Commerce to create new events, and support already established events with the goal of boosting Maple Lake’s economy.
This is the market’s second year, and it has already surpassed expectations.
Future markets are as follows:
• Sunday, July 21
• Sunday, August 11
• Sunday, September 15
• Sunday, October 13
Expect everything from specialty bread makers to paper quilling at the upcoming Makers and Growers Market. Enjoy shopping, live music and food from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 23.
