Trophy sized bass caught on Ramsey Lake

The Irish Anglers youth fishing team had luck on Ramsey Lake last week where two trophy sized bass were reeled in.

Drew Wurm and teammate Adler Chlan claimed first place at Sunday night’s outing, June 16 with Wurm’s trophy sized 18-inch bass.

The team of Henry Halloran and Ethan Helmbrecht finished second with Halloran’s two bass (15 ½ inches and 14 inches) and finishing in third was the team of Brenden Luedtka and Brody Sigler. Luedtka’s 17 ¼ inch bass earned the team it’s points.

On Wednesday, June 19 another group of Anglers headed out on Ramsey Lake to try their hand at catching some fish. The team of Hayden and Henry Pagel claimed first place with four bass. Hayden’s 19 inch bass was big enough to be recognized by the team as trophy sized. He also reeled in a 17 ¼ inch and 15-inch bass. Henry earned the team some points with his 13-inch bass.

Finishing second on Wednesday, was the team of Hans Peterson and Drake Strzyzewski. Peterson netted a 14 ½ inch bass, a 13 inch bass and a 12 inch bass. Strzyzewski reeled in a 14 inch bass and a 12 inch bass.

Placing third was the team of Ethan Erdahl and Dalton Kuperus. Erdahl netted a 21 ½ inch northern and Kuperus caught three bass – one 15 inch and two 12 inch.
