Maple Lake will soon be home to another new business. Kelly King has plans to open Cash and Eddie’s Dog Training in late July. She is renting space on the east side of the Barthel Glass building on Division Street across from the fire hall and will be offering evening and Saturday classes in dog obedience, puppy training, tricks and games and more.
With a focus on small class sizes that allow for individualized attention in a comfortable, positive atmosphere, King will aim to strengthen the dog/human bond while teaching your animal friend how to be a polite member of society.
Named after King’s two Australian shepherds, Cash and Eddie, it will be a place “where people can go in an enjoyable atmosphere and have fun with their dogs, where they can learn how their dog thinks and a little about their dog’s language; dog’s first language is body language. I want to help foster the bond,” King said.
