Glenna M. Borell, Maple Lake

Glenna M. Borell, age 83, of Maple Lake, died July 15, 2024, at the Annandale Care Center surrounded by family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. Kevin Magner as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Maple Lake. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, July 29, and from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30 both at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral chapel.

Glenna Mae Uecker was born November 9, 1940, in Albion Township, to William and Minna (Schauer) Uecker. Glenna was a 1958 graduate of Maple Lake High School. On February 27, 1960, she was united in marriage to Francis “Jack” Borell at St. Timothy Catholic Church. Glenna and Jackie were lifelong residents of Maple Lake.

Glenna took great pleasure in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother, cherishing the moments she spent with her family. She was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and enjoyed annual traditions such as making salsa and Christmas baking with her loved ones. Glenna took great pride in her work as a house cleaner, always ensuring that everything was in order for her family.

Glenna will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and her memory will live on through those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Randy (Marcia) Borell of Maple Lake; daughters, Julie (Ray) Reuter of Overland Park, KS, and Jody Kotilinek of Howard Lake; 10 grandchildren, Kristin, Justin (Ashley), Courtney (Anand), John (Molly), Chad (Tia), Christopher (Jackie), David, Chelsey, Dominic (Elle), and Jordan; 24 great-grandchildren, Hailey, Devin, Clara, Charles, Cairo, Chloe, Henry, Calvin, Lawrence, Lucy, Jude, Thomas, Anthony, Leo, Simon, Louis, Francis, June, Rose, Denis, Noelle, Stephen, Sally, Annie, and one on the way; siblings, Lorna (Galen) Weinkauf, George (Mary Ann) Uecker, and Grace Hodge; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Glenna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jackie; sister, Lavonne Paumen; and brother, Lyle Uecker.

Grandchildren will serve as urn and gift bearers. Krista Elsenpeter and Sarah Goelz will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
