The Maple Lake youth fishing team, the Irish Anglers returned to Maple Lake last week where they netted some decently sized bass and northern in two outings.
Ten anglers cast out on Sunday evening, July 21 with high hopes.
The team of Brynn Medley and Drew Wurm came home the winners with Medley’s 15 inch bass and Wurm’s 14 inch bass.
The team of Brenden Luedtka and Ethan Helmbrecht tied for second with the team of Whittler Chlan and Adler Chlan. Both teams caught two qualifying fish for 20 points. Luedtka netted a 21 inch northern and Helbrecht a 14 inch bass. Whittler reeled in a 13 ¼ inch bass and Adler caught a 12 inch bass.
The team of Liam See and Brody Sigler tied for third with the team of Talin Stuhaug and Kaeden Klatt. Earning points for the teams were See’s 13 inch bass and Stuhaug’s 20 inch northern.
Eight anglers cast out on Wednesday, July 24th.
The team of Henry and Hayden Pagel reeled in their limit for first place. Henry’s three qualifying bass were 14 inches, 12 inches and 13 ½ inches and Hayden’s three qualifying bass were 15 ½ inches, 12 ¼ inches and 13 ¾ inches.
The team of Ella Peterson and Tucker Sigler finished runner-up. Peterson netted 14 ¾ inch, 15 ¾ inch and 13 inch bass and Sigler caught a 20 ¼ inch northern.
Finishing third was the team of Joey Novotny (15 inch bass) and Dalten Kuperus (16 ½ inch and 12 ½ inch bass).
The team fishes on Cedar this week.
