The Maple Lake Fire Department was out getting to know the neighborhoods Tuesday, Aug. 6 as part of the annual National Night Out campaign. Firetrucks, driven by firefighters and accompanied by their families and other volunteers announced their presence with flashing red lights and sirens as they traversed the city streets handing out freezies. This stop along Rose Ave South in Maple Lake drew a crowd. Several were outdoors doing yard work and gladly took a break for a frozen treat.
