The Maple Lake youth fishing team the Irish Anglers finished their season on Pleasant Lake, Sunday evening, August 11.
The junior and senior groups fished together for this last outing, but before they hit the water they enjoyed a picnic of brats, chips and dessert at the Pleasant/Clearwater Regional Park.
The top three finishers for the junior team are as follows: Finishing first was the team of Henry Halloran, Brenden Luedtka and Ethan Helmbrecht. Halloran caught a 12 inch bass and three northern (25 ½ inches, 20 1/8 inches and 22 ½ inches). Luedtka netted a 12 inch bass and Helmbrecht reeled in a 24 ½ inch northern and a 20 ¼ inch northern.
Finishing second was the team of Drew Wurm and Adler Chlan with Wurm’s 12 inch bass and 23 inch northern.
Tying for second was the team of Brody Sigler with his 13 inch bass and Brynn Medley with her 12 inch bass.
The team of Mathew Jansen and Liam See finished third thanks to Jansen’s 14 ½ inch bass.
Other anglers who competed were Whitler Chlan, Jackson Krauze, Kaiden Klatt and Talin Stuhaug.
Finishing first for the senior team was Carter Colbenson and teammate Aiden Parchem. Colbenson netted two bass for the win (13 inches and 14 inches) and Parchem reeled in a 12 ¼ inch bass.
Coming in second was the team of Joey Novotny with his 13 inch bass and Jeremiah Schafer with his 23 inch and 24 inch northern.
Ella Peterson finished third with her 27 ½ inch northern.
Other anglers who competed were Henry and Hayden Pagel, Tucker Siegler and Brolin Chlan.
