Looking at a 4-day week

A four-day school week could be the future for Maple Lake Public Schools.

The administration will be sending out a survey in coming weeks to school district families to get a feel for the receptiveness of the idea, Superintendent Mike Rowe told board members at their Monday, Sept. 9 regular meeting.

The survey would be the first step in a lengthy process that would include public hearings and many discussions.

“I don’t know if this is the right thing for us or not, we just want to look into it,” Rowe said.
