Diane Marie Schauf, Maple Lake

Diane Marie Schauf, age 62, of Maple Lake, adoring wife and mother, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 4th, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Buffalo, MN on January 14th, 1962 to Marvin & Eleanor (Jewett) Marschel

On May 1, 1987, Diane M. Marschel and Jerome “Jerry” Schauf were joined in holy marriage in Buffalo.  God blessed their marriage with their daughter Lindsey.

Diane enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, flowers and spending time with her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her daughter and creating cherished memories with her, she especially was fond of her mother/daughter days with Lindsey and spending quality time with her. Their bond was one of a kind.

Diane never missed an opportunity to spend as much time with her family as she could, she truly was a beautiful soul inside and out. She was a true pillar of strength and support, she never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need, despite her own struggles; she remained positive. Whether it was accompanying someone to a doctor’s appointment or lending a listening ear or expressing a word of encouragement, she showed unwavering dedication to uplifting those around her. She was a ray of sunshine everywhere she went. Many people would say that she was the life of the party and she never missed the opportunity to dress up, she especially loved her big earrings and flashy necklaces.

Diane was formerly employed at Cedar Lake Engineering and spent almost 30 years working as a spot welder. She enjoyed her time there, especially her coworkers as she considered many of them family.

Survived by her loving husband of thirty-seven years: Jerome “Jerry” Schauf; a daughter: Lindsey (Zach) Holthaus; her mother: Eleanor Marschel; siblings: Wade (Monica) Marschel, Rick (Kathy) Marschel, Larry Marschel, Mike Marschel, Jody Marschel and fiancé Ryan and Betty McAlister and fiancé Brian; many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her father Marvin “Goldie” Marschel. and Father in law Richard Schauf.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 10 a.m. until time of services at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.

A Memorial service for Diane Schauf  will be held on Saturday, September 14th at 11:00 A.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.   Chris Jaeb-Williams will officiate.
