Runners do well at Kimball cross country meet

The Maple Lake cross country team competed in a seven-team meet at Kimball on Thursday, Sept. 19.

Blake Stoeber and Lauren Anglin were the top Irish finishers in the boys and girls races, respectively.

Stoeber finished 17th in 19:58.20 to lead the boys team to a fourth place overall finish. Anglin finished 11th overall in 23:47.10 to lead the girls team to a fifth place overall finish. Rock Bridge High School, a team from Missouri ran away with the top team prize in both the girls and boys races.

Just a few seconds behind Stoeber was Hayden Dircks in 21st place with a time of 20:05.30; Tristin Stoeber finished 48th for the Irish in a time of 23:06.10; Elija Dorse was 50th in 23:13.20; Carter Ertel was 54th in 23:22.10; Clark Hawksinson was 74th in 25:15.30; Nick Kramer was 82nd in 27:30.10; Lucas Terzic was 84th in 29:08.10 and Brolin Chlan was 85th in 29:15.20.

In the varsity girls race, Peyton Walberg was 26th in 25:55.10; Khloe Uecker was 27th in 26:10.10; Jenna Kronenberg was 31st in 28:02.20; Jeni Leithner was 32nd in 28:08.10 and Abby Gindele finished 41st in 32:35.70.
