A new candidate for president of the United States has risen out of the shadows and last week he made a surprise appearance in Maple Lake.
Sasquatch, A.K.A Bigfoot kicked off his campaign in Crosby on the Fourth of July and has since visited Kimball, Paynesville and now Maple Lake hoping to gain momentum. He passed briefly through town on Friday afternoon Oct. 4, riding his unicycle and waving his Bigfoot for President flag. Following behind him in a red truck was vice president candidate/driver – since Sasquatch’s can’t operate a vehicle legally in Minnesota – Mr. Dewey Lake.
