Book fair exceeds last year Another successful outing means positive benefits for the school library

Maple Lake Elementary (MLE) families love their school.

Sarah Thomas, the media specialist at MLE knows it’s true every time the Scholastic Book Fair comes around and proceeds once again exceed the year before.

Last year the school made $10,000 in sales, crushing their $9,000 goal and making it their best year ever. This year they blew that accomplishment out of the water by selling more than $11,000 worth of items. That amount equates to about $5,000 in Scholastic dollars that Thomas can now spend on books for the library.
