The Wright County Board of Commissioners approved the 2025 preliminary draft budget and certified levy at their Tuesday, Sept. 24 meeting. The preliminary budget was approved in the amount of
$208,176,035 and the levy, which is the amount paid through property taxes was approved at $100,427,279. The levy amount represents a 5.71% increase. From this point, the budget cannot increase, it can only decrease.
The board will approve the final budget and levy at a board meeting in December following a Truth in Taxation public hearing on Thursday, Dec. 5 in the Wright County Government Center. The public is invited to attend the 6 p.m. hearing and voice their concerns about the proposed budget.
