This letter to the editor is in response to the person who wants to understand why so many people have Make America Great signs in Maple Lake. He must be living in a world by himself. Inflation is not at an all time low, it is at an all time high. Products are up 20% to 50% depending on what you buy. Gas doubled in price the first year the democrats took over. Families, elderly and everyone in between are suffering under the economy. Prices for food, automobiles, housing & health care has gone through the roof. The democrats have replaced all of the border policies that Trump had in effect and were working. Now the border is wide open with illegal immigration at an all time high. These people coming into our country illegally put stress on housing, schools, medical care and increased crime. Our social programs cannot withstand this extra burden for long without taking from tax paying American citizens and programs they depend on including social security and medicare for seniors, the disabled and veterans.
In response to January 6th, President Trump offered the help of the National Guard, but it was refused by the leading democrat of the house. The hypocrisy of it all is that the Governor of MN doesn’t want to talk about the fact that he led “peaceful protesters” burn the cities of MN for days damaging countless businesses, injuring people and burning down a police station. If that’s not bad enough, the democrat nominee supported a bail fund to raise money to release these violent looters back onto the streets. America is a great country, one of the few left. Many good people in the military, first responders and ordinary people have fought to keep this country great. Why the democrats want to destroy it is beyond me, we do not need more of the last 3 1/2 years. It has been a distaste for our country. Regardless of whether you are a democrat, republican or and independent, vote to save our country.
