Volleyball improves to 17-7 overall, 4-1 in CMC

The Irish volleyball team improved to 17-7 after a busy week that included two home matches and a four-team tournament in Alexandria over the weekend.

The Irish kicked competition off on Tuesday, Oct. 1 against Breck at home in front of an enthusiastic following of Irish fans. The girls struggled some but managed to pull off three wins with scores of 25-16, 25-23 and 25-15.

Alex Kiebel was 9 for 11 serving with two aces, 13 kills, 15 assists and six digs; Avery Lee was 12 for 13 serving with one ace, 12 kills, 13 assists and nine digs; Sydney Breimon was 13 for 15 serving with five aces, four kills and four digs; Maddy Lind was 4 for 7 serving with one ace, one assist and two digs; Grace Ronnenberg had one kill; Danica Hageman was 10 for 12 serving with three kills, one assist, seven digs and one block; Addison Kramer was 9 for 13 serving with five aces and Abby Linder was 3 for 3 serving with one kill, one assist, two digs and one block.

The Irish served 81 percent with 14 aces and 34 total digs.
