The Buffalo-Maple Lake Swim and Dive team finished its season after two final outings.
On Tuesday, Oct. 29, the Bison hosted Dassel-Cokato at the Buffalo Community Middle School. Both the varsity and junior varsity squads came away with wins. Varsity won 97 to 81 and JV won 118 to 41.
Jacqueline Pribyl and Ashley Gaffaney, both from Maple Lake High School and Reese Navarro and Kate Miriovsky competed in the 4×200 relay race and finished second on JV with a time of 2:11.65. The D-C team won in 2:06:97.
In the diving events, Miriovsky of Buffalo High School won the meet with a score of 187.20; Gaffaney, a senior at MLHS was third with a score of 155.10; Pribyl scored 139.30 and Keeley Dircks scored 111.35. Pribyl and Dircks are both freshmen at MLHS.
On Friday, Nov. 8, the Bison swim and dive team traveled to Brainerd to compete in the Section 8AA Tournament and a chance at a state berth.
