On Wednesday, Dec. 11, the Wright County Sheriff’s Office hosted 150 people representing Wright County school districts and law enforcement agencies from Wright and Hennepin counties for a K-12 Standard Response Protocol training conference at the Wright County Government Center.

The program was sponsored by the i love u guys Foundation, which was named in memory of Emily Keyes, who was killed Sept. 26, 2006, by a school shooter at Platte Canyon High School in Bailey, Colorado. While being held hostage, Emily texted her parents “i love u guys” shortly before being shot and killed. Following the tragedy, her father John-Michael Keyes created the i love u guys Foundation.
