Boys play North Lakes close at Target Center

By Brenda Erdahl

The Irish boys’ basketball team got off to a strong start against North Lakes Academy at Target Center, Monday, Dec. 30th, but couldn’t hold onto the lead and fell 76-63.

The Maple Lake team built a strong 10-point lead through steals and deflections which led to fast breaks and were successful when getting to the basket. The Irish went into half time down by only one point, 32-31.

The Irish were up 40-32 to start the second half, but in the end, North Lakes hit some big shots to chip away at the lead and the Irish went cold.
