The Maple Lake girls’ basketball team is 2-10 after a streak of losses.
The Irish opened the week with two Central Minnesota Conference contests and ended at Halenbeck Hall on the St. Cloud State University Campus where they faced Pine River-Bachus.
Maple Lake 32, Holdingford 58
The Irish traveled to Holdingford on Tuesday, Jan. 7 to face conference foe, the Holdingford Huskers in their first match-up of the season. Holdingford came into the game ranked one of the top three teams in the conference and it showed. They were physical, aggressive and had strong post play.
Maple Lake battled their pressure and didn’t back down, making the Huskers earn everything, Irish Head Coach Adam Ronnenberg said.
