Wright County has a new county administrator. Greg Kryzer, who has served as the interim county administrator for the last six months, was appointed to the permanent position by the County Board on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at its regular meeting.
Kryzer took on the interim job when former Administrator Lee Kelly and the board parted ways last summer. He has more than 14 years of experience with the County as its chief attorney in the Civil Division and has worked closely with the County Board for over a decade.
“As an attorney, Greg has provided his legal expertise to the board in an advisory role,” Commissioner Darek Vetsch stated in a press release. “Many commissioners over the years have worked with Greg and have come to rely on his professional excellence in providing the commissioners with legal advice. I’ve personally witnessed his exceptional organizational leadership skills. He is uniquely qualified to serve as county administrator and we are thrilled to have him in this role on a permanent basis.”
Kryzer is a 2005 graduate of the Hamline University School of Law, has worked in the Wright County Attorney’s Office since 2010 and was named Civil Division Chief in March 2021.
