To the family and community of Maple Lake, I am so sorry for your loss. Maple Lake knows Harold Brutlag much better than I. They could list all the service organizations, awards, hobbies and interests accredited to him to the benefit of his home town.
I just got to know him when he hired me back in 1984 as a typesetter. I knew nothing about the newspaper nor commercial printing businesses, but Harold was a great teacher and I learned a lot during the 18 years I was at the Messenger. It was my privilege to have worked for him.
It’s “Just A Thought” but I’m sure Maple Lake’s loss is heaven’s gain. Matthew 25:23 says: “Well done good and faithful servant!”
