The Lightning came out with six wins, all of the bonus variety, to take a 33-0 lead in its home dual versus Dassel-Cokato/Litchfield on Thursday, Jan. 30. In four of those six matches, the Lightning wrestler scored the first takedown in about the opening 20 seconds of the first period.
The team rode out this strong start to a 41-24 section victory, on a night where the program honored its parents and its senior girl wrestlers.
In the bottom two weights Vander Tulenchik (107) and Marshall Hall (114) both had technical falls despite taking their lumps this season.
