Nancy Thomas, age 86, passed away peacefully on March 20th, 2025, after an 8-year battle with Alzheimer’s.
Nancy had a love for family, dancing, cooking, camping, sewing, teaching, all things Christmas, her dogs, shopping, and meeting new people. “Mrs T”, as all her students called her, loved spending time with each student that she had the chance to interact with. From teaching her students how to dance or tumble, to teaching her kids and grandkids how to make her favorite caramel rolls, German noodles, or how to thread a needle. Her infectious laugh and spunky, energetic personality will always be remembered.
Nancy Jane was born to Harry and Coral Graves on March 30th, 1938. She is survived by her husband of 66 years Joe Thomas; children Todd (Cheryl) Thomas, Jodi (Mike) Sawatzke, Tracy (Bryan) Bruns, Shawn (Melissa) Thomas and Greyson Thomas. Grandchildren Amanda (Jake), Ashley, Taylor (Kelly), Tanner (Amanda), Laura (Mike), Logan, Derek (Melissa), Riley (Alec), Erin (Zac), and Emily (Zach). Step grandchildren Jenny, Britney, and Dalton. 18 great grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of life will be held on March 31st at The Waters Church, located at 1227 Pine Cone Road North, Sartell, MN 56377. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00, with a service beginning at 11:00. Nancy’s favorite treats will be served following the service.
