May is Foster Care Appreciation month and Wright County Health and Human Services (HHS) would like to acknowledge the dedication of its foster care providers for their care and compassion of those in need. Wright County currently has 51 foster care providers supporting the ongoing need of children within Wright County communities. “We encourage community members to recognize the valuable work that Wright County’s child foster providers do,” HHS officials said. With May being Foster Care Appreciation month, HHS is also raising the awareness for the need of additional child foster care homes within Wright County communities. Wright County averages 75 youth in placement nightly. While 78% of the time, children can be placed with family/kin HHS is always in need of non-relative families to be ready to help.
