Beautiful spring weather and mouth-watering ribs drew an unexpectedly large crowd to The Butchery of Maple Lake’s first annual Ribfest, Saturday, May 3.
Zeeva Jacobs of Annandale served up ribs at her family’s booth. They call themselves Smoke Eater.
The Butchery of Maple Lake’s first annual Ribfest attracted 19 local competitors. The ribs were so popular, they sold out in less than 45 minutes.
Hot Coals BBQ out of Annandale took home first place.
A huge crowd gathered Saturday, May 3 for The Butchery of Maple Lake’s first annual Ribfest. There was also a split-the-pot, meat raffle, live music and other items for sale.
