The Maple Lake cross country teams competed twice last week. On Monday, Sept. 19, they traveled to Pierz and on Thursday, Sept. 22 they competed in the Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball Invitational at the Kimball Golf Course.

Maple Lake Junior Nick Lind led the boys to an 18th place finish out of 21 schools. He finished 20th overall in 18:26.9. St. Cloud Cathedral won the top honor and St. John’s Prep was second. On the girls’ side, Freshman Carmyn Anderson led the girls to a 15th place finish. She finished 56th overall in 23:41.4. Cathedral won the girls race as well; Brainerd was second and Little Falls was third.
