Teachers from Maple Lake Public Schools and St. Timothy Catholic School took a break from their back-to-school preparations Thursday, Aug. 31 and shared lunch together courtesy of Star Bank of Maple Lake.
Star Bank has put on this meal at the high school for about the last 13 years, Senior Vice President Andy Wahlquist said. The bank provides the food and staff serve it. This year’s spread consisted of an assortment of sandwiches, toppings, soup, and dessert. School kitchen staff help prepare the food.
This is another busy week for teachers. After the Labor Day vacation, things got under way at the public schools with an open house for all grades on Tuesday, Sept. 5. Classes started Wednesday, Sept. 6. St. Tim’s students went back a day earlier, on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
