Four file for city office election

Filing for city offices closed on Tuesday with four residents running for three city positions.  Maple Lake city offices up for election are a two-year term for mayor and two council seats for four-year terms.

Those positions are currently held by Mayor Mike Messina and council members Judith Kelly and John Northenscold. Kelly, Northenscold and Messina filed for re-election and former council member Mike O’Loughlin filed for city council.

City elections will be held at city hall on Tuesday, November 2, during the general elections.
