Girls’ Cross-country gets win at Kimball

Irish cross-country runners competed in two competitive meets again this past week. On Tuesday, Sept. 20, they ran in Big Lake instead of Pierz, facing tough runners in class AAA. Then traveling to Kimball on Thursday, Sept. 22, the girls took their first team victory of the season.

Instead of traveling to Pierz, the team opted for a meet closer to home with less travel time. So for the first year, they competed at the meet in Big Lake. However, the down-side for selecting this meet was the class size of the competition. Although the bigger schools have a deeper talent pool, the Irish held their own.
