Madigan’s event to honor Sgt. Chad Allen

Marine Sgt. Chad Allen of Maple Lake, a 2000 graduate of Maple Lake High School, was killed in the line of duty on Feb. 28, 2007, in Iraq. On each anniversary date of Chad’s death, his family has hosted the “Party Like a Rock Star” event to reunite the people in Chad’s life and to raise funds to support military families.
Although Chad’s parents, Steve and Deborah Allen, now live in Wisconsin, they have decided to host the fifth anniversary party at Madigan’s Pub & Grill in Maple Lake. The event is set from 5:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, at Madigan’s.
“We have decided to have our annual Party Like a Rock Star get-together back home in Maple Lake this year where it all started,” said Deborah. “It seems appropriate for this five-year mark. As many of you know, we have been very active in a wonderful organization since Chad’s death in Iraq.
