Ruth (Wright) Vaa, of St. Cloud, was born on July 14, 1924, in St. Louis, Mo. to parents, Earl and Carrie (Jacobson) Wright. She passed away August 26, 2016, at the age of 92 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Ruth is survived by two daughters, Judy (Vaa) and Jerry VanDenEinde of St. Joseph, Sandy (Vaa) and Keith Sather of Maple Lake, one son, Harry Vaa of Lester Prairie; one sister, Grace Taylor of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Glenn Wright of Genoa, Il; 13 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Carrie (Jacobson) Wright; two husbands, Albin Vaa and Frank Duncan; three brothers, Harry Wright, Earl Wright, Frank Wright; one sister, Dorothy Ohare; and three daughters, Mary Louise Vaa, Tammy Jo Vaa, and Carrie (Vaa) Dahl.
Ruth worked as camp manager at Schroeder Park in Annandale for 33 years and retired at the age of 90 years old.
A celebration of Ruth’s life with be held Sunday, September 4, 2016, from 1-5 p.m. at the Clearwater American Legion, Clearwater. She will be buried in McIntosh, Mn at a later date.
