The Maple Lake girls’ basketball team struggled to get a win last week and ultimately fell in two contests. On Tuesday, Dec. 18, Maple Lake hosted Rockford, a team known for its full-court pressure. Stifled by that pressure, the Irish fell 70-42. On Thursday, Dec. 20, Maple Lake traveled to Kimball for a Central Minnesota Conference match-up and fell to the Cubs 51-43. Results for Thursday’s game were not available at press time. See next week’s paper for results.
