James Edward Hess Jr. was born July 16, 1970 in Modesto, CA to James Hess Sr. and Eva Barber. James was tragically killed in a tree accident July 22nd, 2019 at the age of 49. He was preceded in death by Grandmother Dorothy Houge, Grandmother Edith Benson and several Aunts and Uncles. James will be lovingly remembered by son Dylan James Hess; Life Partner: Lisa M. Nordling (Weege); Father: James E. Hess Sr.; Mother Donna M. Benson; Sisters: Theresa Benson, Brenda Born (Chuck), Dorothy LaPlant (Al), Jamie Rosland (Hess); and several nieces, nephew’s, cousins and many friends. James resided in Maple Lake and ran his own lawn care service, which Dylan would like to continue to keep up. On his days off of cutting grass he would work for Trent’s Tree Service, Jude Vending, and keeping his days long, he always made time to put his mechanic hat on. He was an extremely hard-working man who was always willing to lend a helping hand whether he knew you or not. James was very much loved and will be missed dearly he was someone who, in his day-to-day life, would always put others before himself. He was well known for his random acts of kindness with a smiling face always ready to greet someone known or unknown. We have lost a great friend and Heaven has gained a true angel, who no doubt we’ll be watching and guiding us. Rest in peace, Jimmy.
