In most ways, the Fourth of July on Maple Lake was like it always is.
The lake was busy all weekend with boaters and swimmers trying to escape the near 100-degree temperatures. Saturday morning featured the annual North Shore Tractor Parade, in the afternoon, seven or eight boats turned out for the boat parade and the evening ended with several displays of fireworks.
The only indication that a pandemic was going on, was a mask or two at the tractor parade that this year wasn’t quite as large as years past.
