Brute’s Bleat by Harold Brutlag

I decided a two hour plus drive was just too far to attend the Laker’s game with Alexandria on Sunday which is a sign I’m not getting any younger. Instead I chose to listen to it on the Buffalo radio station. The Lakers showed up with a desire to win and scored four runs in the opening inning against a not-so sharp Alexandria team that had two errors in the opening stanza of the 15-2 seven inning ballgame. Maple Lake scored one in the second inning, 7 in the third and 3 in the fifth while Alexandria picked up 2 in the bottom of the fifth. Nick Preisinger was on mound for the Lakers and pitched six innings giving up two runs on six hits and two Laker errors.
