At their most recent meeting, Monday, March 8, members of the Maple Lake School Board received an update from Superintendent Mike Rowe on the search for a new Activities Director.
The Activities Director is responsible for development and delivery of a successful activity program. Assigned duties including budgeting, hiring, scheduling, engaging in public relations, in addition to communications with coaches, advisors, parents and students.
Earlier this year, the Activities Committee set a hiring process, and discussions were had with coaches, advisors and directors. Postings were placed in the Messenger and on various Web sites, with an application deadline of March 12.
An interview team will hold its first and second round of interviews March 18 and 22.The successful candidate is expected to be offered the position March 23, with hiring to be approved by the Board at its April meeting.
The Board’s next meeting is Monday, April 12.
