William O’Sullivan remembered for his heart of gold, Irish grin

By Brenda Erdahl

William O’Sullivan will be remembered for his big heart, Irish grin, and dry sense of humor.

A husband, father, brother and son, William, age 23, died early Thursday morning, July 29, as the result of a tragic accident on Interstate 94 in Monticello. The accident happened shortly before midnight on July 28, when he was struck while on foot by a westbound Chevy Silverado.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects Friday, Aug. 6 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Monticello. Father John Meyer will officiate a funeral mass at noon with a fellowship lunch to follow.

“I know it’s cliché, but he had a smile, if you saw it, you couldn’t help it, you had to smile too. His smile could light up a room,” his older brother Patrick said.
