The Maple Lake gymnastics team won two events last week. On Tuesday, Dec. 14 they edged the Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm 128.45 to 128.125 and on Thursday, Dec. 16 they defeated Annandale 129.65 to 116.35.
The Irish posted many stand out performances at home against the Storm, Coach Kaitlyn Helmbrecht said.
“Addison Kramer had a beautiful vault the last two meets; Elizabeth Borgert has had strong performances all around, but especially has shown improvement on the Bars; Brooke Mergen shows a lot of grace and attitude in her floor routine resulting in some great performances and Aurora Zuelke has been very consistent in all her routines; a lot of great things happening in the gym,” Coach Helmbrecht said.
