The Annandale-Maple, Lake Lighting wrestling team, won the Wright County Conference Championship Thursday, February 11, at Annandale High School. The Lightning defeated two WCC teams, Mound-Westonka (58-20) and Dassel-Cokato/Litchfield (38-33). “The Wright County Conference has four teams that have been ranked in the top 12 in Minnesota,” said Lightning Head Coach Ben Youngs. “We ended up the undefeated champions, and that speaks volumes for the grit and desire of the Lightning team. They work as hard as anyone in the state and has a lot to show for their efforts.”
