Cubs Scouts learn new skills with bird houses

Maple Lake Cub Scouts learned to use a hammer, glue, and drill-driver to make their own bird houses, recently. The Cubs each received a birdhouse kit which they put together as a group at Jude Hall, January 13. On January 27 they returned to paint them. Scoutmaster Christopher Borgert said the painting part came pretty natural for the Cubs, “they just let the creativity flow.” In fact, the Cubs did a great job with a little help from their parents when needed, he said.
