The Irish volleyball team ended its regular season last week on a three-game win streak. It started two weeks ago with wins over Minneapolis Patrick Henry and Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City and continued into last week when Maple Lake defeated Holdingford on Tuesday, Oct. 18.
Playoffs begin this week with the Irish hosting a yet-to-be-determined opponent on Friday, Oct. 28.
The wins boost Maple Lake’s final regular season record to 10-13 overall, 2-3 in Section 5AA and 3-4 in the Central Minnesota Conference.
Maple Lake 3, Holdingford 2
The Irish came out tough against the Huskers and held on to a 25-22 first-game win. The rest of the game scores were: 25-16, 10-25, 21-25 and 15-9.
