The Maple Lake High School Track and Field Team traveled to Rockford for an indoor meet on Thursday, April 6. While scores weren’t recorded, the athletes were able to see some of the competition in action before their first home meet on Thursday, April 13. The weather is predicted to be nice Thursday with partly cloudy skies and temperatures reaching as high as 80 degrees. The event starts at 4 p.m. on the high school track.
Practice has started for baseball, softball and golf with competition beginning for some this week as well.
The Irish softball team was scheduled to host Holdingford on Thursday, April 13 at Irish Diamonds but on Tuesday, the game was postponed. On Friday, April 14, the Irish baseball team will host Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted at Irish Stadium at 4:30 p.m.
Competition is expected to continue next week when the softball team hosts Kimball on Monday, April 17, at 4:30 p.m. at Irish Diamonds and the baseball team travels to Litchfield on Tuesday, April 18 for a 4:30 p.m. contest.
