CBD of Maple Lake opens

By Brenda Erdahl

Julie Harvey enjoys helping people. It’s what she likes about being a special education para-professional at Buffalo Schools and why she owns two CBD stores in the area.

Julie and her husband Joe opened CBD of Maple Lake in Mid-January. It’s located on the south side of Division Street across from the Costume Shop. The couple also owns Your CBD Store in Buffalo, which is part of a successful conglomerate that has more than 500 stores around the country and world.

She said six out of 10 people who come into her stores are looking for something natural that will help them sleep better. Others come in for natural pick-me-ups to help them think better and get through the day. Many of the rest of her clients are looking for something to relieve chronic pain.

“I had a woman come in who had bad shoulder issues,” Julie said. The woman said she tried everything, but the pain was so bad it was interfering with her sleep. Julie gave her a sample of one of her pain-reducing creams and the next day she returned nearly in tears. A pea-sized dot of cream had given her relief for 14 hours. “It’s stories like that that make me want to do this,” Julie said.  At CBD of Maple Lake, visitors will find a variety of cannabinoid products including CBD which is known for its balancing and calming effect, CBG which is known for its invigorating and uplifting effect and CBN which is often used as a natural sleep aid. Harvey also sells THCs which are effective for relieving chronic pain.

Harvey said everything in her store contains CBD, but not everything has THC. For instance, CBD and CBG contain no THC. The THC products she carries also have different levels of THC. The full spectrum 0.3 THC products are non-euphoric while Delta 9 offers a bit of euphoria along with pain relief.
