Four Maple Lake seniors were among 129 students from 32 area school districts honored as Students of Excellence, Wednesday, April 26 at the 35th annual Students of Excellence awards banquet in St. Cloud.
Noah Gindele, Audrey Lee, Jolie Uecker and Erin Uecker were selected for their exemplary academic achievement, leadership skills, or school/community involvement which can include exemplary, positive role models to fellow students or staff as well as making a difference every day in the lives of fellow students, staff, and community.
The large event attracted 495 people including area administrators, educators, and parents of those being honored. The ceremony opened with a welcome address from Mark Schmitz, Executive Director of Resource Training & Solutions. Ken Anderson, Board of Directors chair for Resource Training & Solutions also extended his congratulations to the honorees. Entertainment for the evening was provided by Duelly Noted, an interactive dueling piano act based out of the Twin Cities.
