Anglers find fish on Maple, Pleasant lakes

Several Irish Anglers had luck on Maple and Pleasant lakes last week.

On Wednesday, June 21, eight anglers wet their lines in Maple and several nice fish were caught. Finishing in first place was the team of Henry and Hayden Pagel. Henry hauled in three bass. His biggest was 15 ¼ inches long, but he also caught a 12 ¾ inch long fish and an 11 ½ inch long fish. His brother Hayden netted three bass as well. His biggest was 16 inches. He also caught a 13 ½ inch and 12 ½ inch bass.

The team of Dalten Kuperus and Joey Novotny earned second place on Kuperus’ trophy 18-inch bass, his 13 ½ inch bass and his 15 ½ inch bass.

Finishing third was Michael Bellingar and Hans Peterson. Both caught 12-inch bass.

On Sunday, June 25, 12 Irish Anglers ventured out onto Pleasant Lake in Annandale. Brolin Chlan caught a 16-inch and 15-inch bass to lead himself and partner Tucker Sigler to first place.

Finishing second was Landon Holland and Carter Colbenson. Holland reeled in a 16-inch bass and Colbenson caught a 23-inch northern.

Jeremiah Schafer and Adler Chlan finished third based on Schafer’s 15 inch and 13 ¾ inch bass.

Other fish caught Sunday night included Henry Halloran’s 20 ¼ inch northern and Mathew Jansen’s 16-inch bass.
