The Maple Lake Fire Department and Wright County Deputies were out and about, Tuesday, Aug. 1 handing out cool treats and getting to know the people in the neighborhoods as part of National Night Out. Fire trucks and emergency vehicles covered all areas of the town looking for people out-of-doors to deliver a cold treat to. This fire truck with its flashing lights attracted a crowd from the Community Park and there were plenty of treats to go around.
Miss Maple Lake Charlee Wurm hands out treats to a family caught walking along Division Street. The Maple Lake royalty rode around with the fire department and handed out treats to anyone out and about Maple Lake, Tuesday night. Adults and children alike waited for their cold treat, courtesy of the Maple Lake Fire Department. The event was part of the national campaign to promote police-community partnerships and encourage safe living and neighborly activity by building relationships.
