The Maple Lake High School cross country team traveled to Royalton on Tuesday, Oct. 10 where the girls finished third and the boys were sixth.
Carmyn Anderson led the girls with her 11th place finish in 23:25.10. Lauren Anglin was close behind her in 13th place in a time of 23:39.30. Jackie Pribyl and Khloe Uecker finished 30th and 31st respectively with times of 25:50.40 and 25:54.20. Peyton Walberg was 36th in 26:39.70; Violet Tulenchik was 38th in 26:51.10 and Martha Donnett was 45th in 28:24.20.
Nick Lind led the boys with his fourth-place finish in 18:00.20; Logan Anglin finished 25th in 20:48.20; Hayden Dircks was 28th in 20:54.90; Ben Ogram was 42nd in 22:02.90; Blake Stoeber was 43rd in 22:03.20 and Cole Lafave was 54th in 24:34.40.
The cross country season started winding down this week with the Central Minnesota Conference meet on Tuesday, Oct. 17 in Kimball. Results were not available at press time. On Thursday, Oct. 26, the Irish head up to Hinckley-Finlayson High School for the Section 5A meet where runners have the chance to qualify for the state meet.
