Arvid “Arv” A. Klemz, age 86, of Buffalo, MN and formerly of Maple Lake, MN (Sugar Lake) was taken home by the Lord on Sunday, April 7, 2024 surrounded by his loving wife Pam and sister-in-law Kay following a long battle with cancer.
He was born on October 4, 1937 in Silver Creek, MN the son of Arne and Esther (Rieck) Klemz.
He graduated from Annandale High School on June 1, 1955. He enrolled in the Electronics course at Dunwoody and graduated on January 25, 1963. Arv honorably served his country in the United States Air Force.
On June 12, 1982, Arv Klemz was joined in holy marriage to Pamela (Eichten) in Bloomington, MN.
Arv was in sales for many years, but his favorite job was in the Marine Industry delivering new pontoons and boats to customers.
He loved living on Sugar Lake, riding on his John Deere tractor and taking family and friends on pontoon boat rides.
As his health declined, Arv and Pam decided it was time to sell and move into a townhouse in Buffalo.
Arv enjoyed sitting in his rocking lawn chair watching cars and people go by. Many neighbors joined him for long chats.
Survived by his loving wife of forty-one years Pam; Peanut (cat), sisters-in-law Jackie Vance and Kay (Greg) Kitchak; nieces Lynette Nelson, Tara (Jim) Scaife, Michelle Schneider (fiance’ Delano Henton) and Penny Pirker; nephews Michael (Teresa) Titus, Scott (Sherri) Titus, Dana (Rosa) Pirker and Greg (Beverly) Pirker; many great-nieces and great-nephews; great-great nieces and great-great nephews; family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents; a sister Rozanne Pirker; a sister-in-law LaDean Titus; brothers-in-law Phil Pirker, Beecher Vance and Hank Titus; father-in-law and mother-in-law Vernon and Ethel Eichten;
A visitation will be held at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 12:00 Noon until 3 PM. Interment with military rites will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 12:30 P.M. at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Michelle Schneider, Delano Henton, Michael Titus and Scott Titus.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to St. Croix Hospice, Tunnel to Towers and/or to the American Cancer Society.
