The Maple Lake girls basketball team lost its season opener on Friday, Nov. 22 to PACT Charter School at home.
PACT played aggressive, physical ball and pushed the Irish around a bit on their way to a 46-27 win. They forced the home team to 44 turnovers and hindered them at the hoop. The Irish attempted 42 shots compared to PACT’s 80.
The Irish found some life in the second half when they applied some full court pressure of their own, but PACT’s 23-9 halftime lead was too much to overcome.
