The Maple Lake girls basketball team will kick off its competitive season this week and other winter sports will follow in December.
The Irish open at home against PACT Charter School on Friday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. in girls basketball action. The girls return eight players from last year’s varsity squad and will be led by six seniors.
This year’s head coach is Adam Ronnenberg, and assistant coaches are Tim Staloch, Kim Fynboh and Kelsey Johnson.
The Irish girls basketball team will play again on Tuesday, Nov. 26 when they host Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted at 7 p.m.
Maple Lake’s boys basketball team will play its first game on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Swanville High School at 7:15 p.m. The boys first home game is Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. against Long Prairie-Grey Eagle.
The gymnastics team kicks off its season on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at home against Benson at 6 p.m.
The Annandale-Maple Lake wrestling team opens on Thursday, Dec. 5 at Foley High School for a 5 p.m. tri meet. ANML’s first meet at MLHS is Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 5 p.m. vs Elk River.
The Maple Lake High School girls basketball team plays its first game Friday, Nov. 22 at home against PACT Charter School at 7 p.m.
